the domain registration tag to web design companies often find these
companies may no longer be operating in a year or two’s time
subsequently no reminders sent and their domain is lost – act
now before it is too late.
Please Note: You can only transfer a domain name if you are the owner of the domain or have the permission of the domain owner.
Do you realise that the registration & renewal
of domains is not the same as where you decide to publish your
website or choose to provide your e-mail facilities. At fast-name.co.uk
we do not discriminate against our customers, we can provide
ALL your domain name & hosting
services or you can choose to have us provide either of these
services.
UK Domains (co.uk, org.uk, me.uk etc)
Full Transfer
Simply get your existing provider to
change the IPS Tag of your domain to EMERCE (case sensitive)
- we are full Nominet members and you will be reminded when your
domain is due for renewal and can then renew it yourself using our
online interface.
Hosting & e-mail Transfer
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website.
- Ask your current
provider to change the DNS server entries to the following:-
Primary DNS Server: ns1.livedns.co.uk
Secondary DNS Server: ns2.livedns.co.uk
- Inform us by e-mail that
you have done so and we will do the rest.
Transfer Out (free)
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website

Inform us by e-mail of
your intentions and either supply us with the IPS Tag of your
new supplier for a full transfer or the Primary & Secondary
DNS server information of your new host and we do the rest. Please
be aware that changing the IPS tag is a full transfer and as
such Fast-name will no longer be providing any of the services
for your domain including renewal.
US Domains (com, net, org etc)
Full Transfer
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website.
Note: You can usually find out this information by performing a whois lookup here or by performing a whois lookup at the registrar site indicated in the "Referral URL" field when using the above link.
We cannot proceed with a domain transfer unless the domain is unlocked and without the express permission of the domain administrator listed in the whois record.
Hosting & e-mail Transfer
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website
- Ask your current provider to change the DNS server entries to
the following:-
Primary DNS Server: ns1.livedns.co.uk
Secondary DNS Server: ns2.livedns.co.uk
- Inform us by e-mail that
you have done so and we will do the rest.
Full Transfer Out
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website
- The legal registrant of the domain should inform us by e-mail of
their intentions and we will “unlock” the domain for
transfer.
International Domains (.TV, .BIZ,
.INFO)
Full Transfer
- Ensure you have a current copy of your website.
